The Drendel & Jansons Law Group is very pleased to announce that Roman J. Seckel has been selected as one of the top 10 lawyers in Illinois under the age of 40 by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys.
The NAFLA is an organization that is committed to recognizing the top family law attorneys in the nation and in the various states. According to the NAFLA website, “the NAFLA awards the best family law attorneys in each state with our most prestigious honor of being named “TOP 10″. The very few attorneys (less than 1%) that are good enough to make our list have demonstrated an extraordinary amount of knowledge, skill, experience, expertise and success in their practice of family law.” The top 10 award is the National Academy's most prestigious honor.
In order to make the list for consideration, attorneys must be nominated by a licensed practicing attorney. the NAFLA staff researches each nominee and identifies 50 attorneys to be reviewed by the selection committee. Among the criteria that is reviewed are client reviews, peer reviews, case outcomes, trial experience, published books and scholarly articles, education, family law teaching experience and other legal awards.
Roman's involvement in family law has been exemplary since he started practicing law in 2005. He has chaired numerous committees of the Kane County Bar Association over the last 10 years, has moderated a number of continuing legal education seminars for attorneys and has been a presenter at many more seminars on various topics. Roman has been published four times in the Illinois Bar Journal, including his first article that earned him the Lincoln Writing Award in 2007. Roman has practiced Family Law from his first day in the office and continues to focus on Family Law along with other area of the law.
